Ing Estates : Profile

Located in the San Antonio Valley, the vineyard consists of “Lockwood Shaley Loam,” a calcareous “chalk-rock” found in only two small areas of Central California. The terrain is slightly sloped and is at 1,000 feet above sea level. The soil is well-drained with low nutrient and mineral content. The vines often experience a diurnal swing of 60ºF in a matter of a few hours. As a result of our vineyard’s location and unique growing conditions, we are able to grow and mature warm-climate grapes.

We grow the following varietals: Dolcetto, Grenache, Mourvedre, Syrah 877, Syrah 6 (Shiraz), Syrah Noir, Viognier, Rousanne, Marsanne and Temranillo.
